Anderson Cooper Will Not Be Voting In The 2016 Presidential Election

Anderson Cooper was on the Howard Stern Show last week. He revealed he would not be voting in the 2016 presidential election.

Anderson Cooper Howard Stern Show“I don’t think reporters should vote,” the CNN anchor told Stern when asked which candidate he supported in the upcoming election. “A lot of reporters don’t vote. It’s a thing.” The radio host was shocked by Cooper’s admission, but the journalist explained, “I’ve had the debate. There have been years where I have voted because sometimes I thought maybe I should. I’ve gone back and forth on it.”

Cooper further noted that his role as a reporter is to “ask questions,” and so he doesn’t “want to be influenced one way or the other.” As for the last time he voted in a presidential election, Cooper said, “I honestly can’t remember.”

In true journalistic fashion, Cooper then turned the tables on Stern and questioned him about his political stance. “I’ve always been a Hillary Clinton fan,” Stern revealed. “I think she would make a good president.” He added, “Trump, I’ve known for years. He’s a friend of mine and a friend of the show. But first of all, I don’t even think he wants to be president.” Stern added, “I think he’s shocked. I think it was a goof.”

CNN’s Anderson Cooper on the Stern Show (Audio Interview)

Today CNN’s Anderson Cooper appeared on Howard Stern, who will soon be returning to America’s Got Talent. Cooper opened up about his own brother’s suicide, growing up rich and Megyn Kelly’s Fox News.

Howard started the interview off with a bang, when he asked Cooper why ratings at CNN were so low, and why Fox News continues to dominate the ratings:

“I do think in cable news, the networks that have strong opinions-so whether you are a conservative network like Fox or a liberal network like MSNC-when there’s not a huge news story going on, they’re entertaining and that’s what people tune into.”

“It seems CNN has done well when there is some big news happening and people are tuning in to see what is going on. It’s a difficult place to be in when there isn’t a major news story going on.”

Howard Stern is “quite odd”

Osbourne said Stern is very particular about all things, USA Today reported.

“Picky about everything, really. About everything,” says Osbourne. “‘You’re making too much noise, turn the music down, don’t slam the door’ — like that.”

“He won’t let anyone in the dressing room, and, see, I’m nosy. I like to have a good mooch around to see what everyone’s up to. Always. And nobody’s allowed in. He’s got two big bodyguards that are outside his room,” she added.
