Hulk Hogan Suing Bubba’s Former Co-host Matt “Spice Boy” Loyd

We have been covering the Hulk Hogan saga since the sex scandal broke back in 2013. In March of 2016, a jury awarded Hogan around $115 million in damages from Gawker Media for leaking the sex tape. Now, Hogan is back for more.

Hulk Hogan is suing Mike Calta also known as Cowhead who is the current morning host on Tamps 102.5 The Bone – Bubbas old station, Bubbas former co-host Matt Loyd also known as Spice Boy and Cox Radio.

The complaint against Cowhead and Spice Boy from Hogan was that both men were involved in a conspiracy to ruin Hogan’s reputation and to extort him as well as violating Florida’s Security of Communications Act. Calta and Loyd refused to answer the allegations from Hogan and have been ordered by the judge to respond within 20 days. Hogan is seeking unspecified damages claiming the tape ruined his 35-year professional wrestling career.

Tampa DJ Suing Bubba the Love Sponge For Using Offensive Words?

On one side, Bubba the Love Sponge, on the other broadcaster Todd M.J Schnitt. It’s a civil defamation case in Tampa putting the two radio personalities against each other.

The civil case goes back five years. Schnitt and his wife are suing Bubba and Cox Radio for very offensive, insulting or fighting words and defamatory statements. Allegedly there were occasions when Bubba said he wanted M.J. dead, they claim, and called Schnitt`s wife a “whore”.

Legally, the lawsuit may be one worth keeping an eye on. It could further define who is a public figure, and influence how much freedom radio broadcasters have when it comes to their speech.
