Earlier this year Buzzfeed.com ran an article “Donald Trump Said A Lot Of Gross Things About Women On Howard Stern” where they spent hours going through old clips of his interviews with Stern in which some politically incorrect jokes were made, especially about women.
“I have such respect for women. My mother was one of the greatest people I ever knew,” Trump said during an appearance on “The Dr. Oz Show.”
Trump wonders if the “hundreds of millions of dollars spent on advertising” by Hillary Clinton and her supports has something to do with the negative image that has been constructed around him.
When asked if he regretted past comments that have been used against him on the campaign trail, Trump said he made those remarks before he realized he would run for president.
“Had I known I was going to be a politician, Howard Stern is a friend of mine, I wouldn’t have done his show.”
“Now, if I ever thought I was running for president I wouldn’t have done the show. We were all having fun together” said Trump.
Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, also wanted to step in and defend her father from the false narrative.
“My father speaks his mind — whether it’s a man or a woman, if you attack him, he will attack you back,” she said.
“In a certain way, it would be strange if he handled women and men differently. You can be a little rough with people once in a while, but almost always it’s them coming at your first.”
Dr. Oz also did a review of Donald Trump’s medical records.
Today Show host Willie Geist asked Dr. Oz if he felt that Donald Trump is healthy enough to be president. Oz responded with “the records that I got without question indicate that he is healthy enough to be president.”
