Larry King “CNN made a mistake in Piers Morgan hire”

Larry King says he isn’t all too broken up about Piers Morgan’s failure at CNN.

Morgan, who replaced King was taken off the air by the network in March due to low ratings. Appearing on Howard Stern’s radio show, King admitted when pressed that he had “mixed emotions” by Morgan’s misfortune.

piers_morgan__propaganda“The best definition of mixed emotions: Your mother-in-law goes over the cliff in your new car,” King joked. “The mix was I thought they made a mistake in the Piers hire. I thought it was a mistake, one, to hire a Britisher in prime time and, two, I thought that he made himself too much part of the show.”

“I always said, if you turn on an interview show on television, 95 percent of the time you should see the guest. If 95 percent of the time you see the host, there’s something wrong with that.”

“That may be the way it works today or maybe things have changed,” King added. “So it wasn’t my kind of show. He was nice to me. I went on his show two or three times. He wasn’t unfriendly to me. It just wasn’t my type of show.”

King also said he thought CNN should have hired American Idol host Ryan Seacrest to replace him in 2011 and that he has not approached his long-time employer about returning, despite previously stating that he would be open to the idea.

Comedian Chelsea Handler destroys Piers Morgan

Controversial comedian Chelsea Handler stopped by CNN’s Piers Morgan Live last night and had some harsh words for the outgoing CNN host.

Appearing as his guest on Monday March 11, Handler slammed the provocative Morgan’s interviewing skills and claimed that “I have to come here and tolerate this nonsense, you can’t even pay attention for 60 seconds. You’re a terrible interviewer.”

Handler then called Morgan out for his lack of interest in the interview and pointed out how “This is your show. You have to pay attention to the guest that you invited on your show.”

Despite Morgan’s insistence that he only pays attention to interesting guests Handler shot back that “It doesn’t matter how interesting I am. You signed up for this job.”

CNN’s Piers Morgan on Howard Stern

CNN’s very own Piers Morgan sat down with legendary broadcaster Howard Stern. The interview took an odd turn when Morgan seemingly blamed his low ratings on there being a lack of news to cover. Despite his claims, Fox News’ Megyn Kelly doesn’t seem to be struggling.

Howard and Piers have been friends for quite some time now, but Stern didn’t hold back from reminding the Brit of some advice he once offered. The shock jock told the journalist that hosting a prime time news program wasn’t going to be as easy as he thought.

Piers Morgan a hatchet man of the New World Order?

With Piers Morgan’s talk show, Piers Morgan Tonight dropping to the worst ratings the network has seen in at least 21 years this summer something had to change. The declining news network was even considering moving his hour-long interview show from the primetime 9pm slot back to 10pm or later, as reported by the NYPost.

So what does Piers Morgan do? He brings on Alex Jones a radio show host, filmmaker and pro-gun advocate for some must watch television.

Some of the highlights of the Alex Jones interview:

Jones claimed that the recent rape and murder of an Indian student has lead to women in India demanding guns.

The answer to 1984 is 1776He screamed at Morgan, telling him that banning guns was not a feasible strategy and would lead to united states government into tyranny. “The tyrants did it! Hitler took the guns! Stalin took the guns! Mao took the guns! Fidel Castro took the guns! Hugo Chavez took the guns!”

Following that, he screams: “I’m here to tell you 1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms!”

At one point in the interview, he challenged Piers to a boxing match. “I’ll wear red, white and blue and you can wear your Jolly Roger.”

Jones then accused Morgan of being a “hatchet man of the New World Order.”

He responded to Morgan’s question asking him how many murders were committed in Britain last year with a question of his own: “How many chimpanzees can dance on the head of a pin?”

Near the end of the interview Alex went into a British impression of Morgan while trying to informing the American public on false flag terror.

Piers Morgan’s downfall after AGT

Piers Morgan Tonight Ratings:

CNN’s primetime viewership has fallen by nearly 50% in the last year despite its recent addition of Piers Morgan‘s “Piers Morgan Tonight.”

According to data released Wednesday, May 2012 was the worst month in over 20 years — Morgans average audience fell to 388,000, of which a mere 113,000 are in the 25-54 age bracket that advertisers covet.

Phone Hacking Involvement:

Piers Morgan has long insisted that, in his days as the editor of a London tabloid, he didn’t order or condone his reporters hacking into cellphones to get scoops about celebrities.

Morgan himself flatly denied any involvement: “I have never hacked a phone, told anyone to hack a phone, nor to my knowledge published any story obtained from the hacking of a phone.”

But as a witness at the Leveson inquiry, when asked to explain his guide to hacking into telephone voicemail from a 2001 entry in his own published memoirs, Morgan said: “I’m sorry – it was 10 years ago, I can’t remember.” Questioned further, Morgan couldn’t offer even the vaguest recollection where the “little trick” might have come from.
